Introduction
Nightguides is a new initiative in the club scene. Our 3000 hours of combined awareness experience at venues like Radion, TILLATEC, Sissi's, Pip, Poing, Waterkant, Parallel, ISO, and Festival Draaimolen has allowed us to create a top-tier awareness team. The team will keep an eye on guests and be approachable during your event. We assist in cases of bad trips, sexual/verbal harassment, misconduct, or unpleasant scenarios. Our team ensures that the affected guests are supported and cared for, together with security and any first aid crews on sight.
Being a queer awareness team, our people spot misconduct earlier while still being unbiased and professional in their case studies. Our team is well-trained together so we can rely on each other on the floor.
Why have an awareness team?
Almost everyone who loves going out has experienced how harassment, bad trips, or rude behavior from other guests can ruin an amazing night. These potentially traumatic experiences cause many to feel unsafe at events and choose to stay home instead. Such experiences can also create a bad reputation for clubs or events which prevents guests from coming back in the future.
For event staff, it can be difficult to keep an eye on things among their main responsibilities. Creating a safer party environment is not something anyone can do successfully whilst also pouring drinks, managing artists, or manning the door. What is needed is an experienced, designated team that is on the floor with the guests. The Nightguides awareness team does exactly that.

The Nightguides awareness team forms the core of any safer event. Our team is made up of three roles: FloorGuides, HeadGuides, and DoorGuides.
Our FloorGuides will be placed in the crowd/amongst the guests. They will be the ones who will detect any breaches of the house rules. Our FloorGuides are easily identifiable with the LED armbands they wear. As we don’t want the guests to feel watched, they will blend into the crowd and wear normal party clothes. As a rule of thumb, we deploy 1 guide per 200 guests. The exact amount can deviate depending on the following variables:
number of rooms/layout of the club
type of event
any other factors impacting how many eyes we need to keep a good overview
The HeadGuide will coordinate the FloorGuides and stay in contact with security /venue managers throughout the night. They are trained to determine the best course of action during intense situations. Per 5 FloorGuides we deploy 1 HeadGuide.
The DoorGuide is standing at the entrance and makes sure each guest entering the event is familiar with the house rules. In addition, they also teach guests how to find our guides in case they need any help. Should the DoorGuide find that a guest is not going to comply with the house rules, they will cooperate with the event’s security to refuse the guest access. In doing so, the DoorGuide functions as a first filter against harmful behaviour.
-
As each situation is unique, they require a unique approach from our guides. Our guides' exact approach will always be determined in collaboration with you beforehand.
In case of mild misconduct, such as smoking indoors or not following drug use policies, our FloorGuides will make the guest aware of their behavior and that this is not welcome in the venue.
Our team consists of trained individuals who have experience in the awareness field. However, it must be noted that we make guests aware of their misconduct without using a policing manner.
Our HeadGuides are here to check in on the FloorGuides and assist where necessary. Should the situation escalate to a medical emergency, a venue manager/head of security will be alerted to arrange medical intervention.

Nightguides is more than just an awareness team. We offer a complete package that allows you, along with your guests, to feel safer and enjoy your event to the fullest:
Before the event, we will provide you with an info package for security and event staff - ensuring our collaboration will go smoothly.
We can provide you with our input and expertise on the event's house rules. Making sure the rules are complete and clear to everyone.
Our team will provide awareness team posters to hang up near lockers, bathrooms, and hallways. Further making sure all guests know how to find our guides.
After the event, we will provide you with an awareness report. In this document, we will reflect on the night and describe the situations we encountered.
Each event is unique, and we ensure our team is carefully selected based on both their qualification and their ability to align with the vibe and energy of your event. This personalized approach becomes even stronger through ongoing partnership, allowing us to better craft our team to your needs.

We approach booking efficiently to ensure flexibility even for last-minute bookings. Our dynamics allow us to adapt quickly without compromising quality.
Upon booking confirmation, we will follow up with an email to gather essential details such as expected venue details, the number of NightGuides required, and other technicalities. Once this information is provided, we will send you a budget proposal and our code of conduct. Simultaneously, our promotional team will begin coordinating with you on promotional matters.
After the event, we will provide you with a detailed report, alongside the final payment. We always aim to schedule a feedback session to continuously improve our collaboration where feasible. Our goal is to save you time and effort by managing every logistical aspect: scheduling, training, transportation, payment, and on-floor management.
Our fees are based on the size, duration, and number of the NightGuides working, ensuring fair pricing for the services. The fee structure involves some NightGuides, fully trained and briefed for the event as well as the duration of the event. We also charge an administration fee based on the number of Nightguides and the duration of the event. Special requirements involve travel costs when NightGuides travel outside of the city. We always try to reduce as much as possible. Lastly, if the booking is made within one month of the event, a last-minute booking fee may be added.
