At NightGuides we value quality over quantity.

This is why we have curated a 4-step training programme that spans over several months to ensure that our crew always comes prepared with the highest quality.

At NightGuides there are 3 roles/positions that contribute to a normal club night.

  • The DoorGuide’s main role is to educate people at the door. As an awareness initiative, we always follow an inclusivity policy: we do not exclude to achieve inclusivity.

  • HeadGuides are our supervisors on the floor. They are better trained and experienced; serving as a main point of communication with the event/venue where we work. They keep an eagle-eye overview of the venue while monitoring our floorguides.

  • FloorGuides are our regular stuff, our eyes and ears on the floor. They engage, with guidance from the Head Guide, in the lighter cases one may encounter during the night. Floor Guides are present for the guests by engaging in conversations and having an overall open and welcoming presence on the floor.

All of our guides can be recognized by our red LED armbands.

The steps

  • The first step in becoming a part of NightGuides is sending in a CV and motivational letter. We always check and look into the applications throughout the month and send an invite to a hiring round in the last week of every second month.

  • After the hiring round we will select individuals that we feel and think would fit into our team. From there, we will invite those people to a training round to teach them how to NightGuide 101. This training round is in addition to our mandatory manuals and also acts as a filter.

  • Your first all-nighter with NightGuides! A trainee shift usually lasts between 6 to 8 hours. This shift is a way for both you and us to know your physical and mental edurance as working in awareness can be very intense.

  • The evaluation period lasts around 2 months. This is where we will have some evaluation conversations to see how you feel working with NightGuides.

We only work with valid KVK collaborations.

Let’s work together.
